Article 96. (New) The Constitution of the Lao People's Democratic Republic is a fundamental law of the nation. All laws must comply with the Constitution.
Article 97. Only the National Assembly session of the Lao People's Democratic Republic has the right to amend the Constitution.
Any amendment to the Constitution requires the affirmative votes of at least two-thirds of the total number of the National Assembly members.
Article 98. (New) This Constitution enters into force on the date of the promulgating decree issued by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
