Don Chan Palace improvement for ASEP-7 approaches completion

The improvement of Don Chan Palace, in preparation for the 7th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting, also known as ASEP 7, has been achieved by 90 per cent. The 7th (ASEP7)   is scheduled to fall on 3-5 October to gather the Leaders of ASEP member Parliaments to share their thoughts and exchange views on current regional and global issues of common interest under the theme of 

"Asia-Europe partnership for sustainable development". Vice-President of the National Assembly, Dr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane, and ASEP7 delegation visited the hotel yesterday to learn its improvement progress.The visit was also designed to encourage contractor company to accelerate its improvement to ensure it is ready for use prior to the meeting.Conducted by the CAMCE Investment (Lao), the improvement of the Don Chan Palace began in March and it is expected to be completed by middle of this month. Its improvement includes meeting rooms, basic facilities, security, and internet and audio systems.Don Chan Palace will be used as the overall venue of the ASEP7 events, and accommodate delegates of the meeting.

Mr. Saysomphone's delegation also field visited under construction National Convention Centre, which will be used as main venue for the 9th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM-9) Summit.
